The resident Cowboys Chick Posts: 648 Group: SUPER MOD SQUAD Member #211 Joined: February 18, 2007	UPDATE: Del Rio signs contract extension FLORIDA TIMES UNION Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio will remain in Jacksonville after signing a five-year contract extension. The extension keeps Del Rio with the Jaguars through the 2012 season. Del Rio will earn $3.5 million next season and over $20 million the last four years of the contract. “Under Jack’s leadership, this franchise has continued to really make great progress,” Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver said. “If you look back from 2004 through 2007, Jack has led this franchise to the sixth-best record in the National Football League and that’s a great accomplishment.” Del Rio enters his sixth season in 2008, the ninth-longest tenure among active head coaches. During the past five years, Del Rio has a 45-35 record—tied for fifth best in the NFL. “I truly believe that it’s a privilege and an honor to be associated with the NFL and to be the head coach of a football team here in Jacksonville. I look forward to building on what we have begun,” Del Rio said. “I really do feel that there is something very special taking place here in Jacksonville right now.”

Posts: 87 Group: Players Member #1,641 Joined: May 19, 2009	Jack Del Rio is a very good coach for my Jags although I was disappointed and I know that come next fall the Jags will be having a not so great rebuilding season.
