Even though i'm a WHITE SOX fan, I say NO, Wrigley Field should remain to be called Wrigley Field.

I know I'm in the minority of Cubs fans who could care less about Wrigley Field... I wish they'd tear it down and build a new ballpark. Wrigley Field draws tourists, not fans. No matter how crappy the team is, Wrigley will still sell out every game. In a new stadium, ownership would be forced to put a good team on the field if they want to sell tickets.

It draws tourists because it is a historical stadium. All we have now are cookie cutter stadiums that last 20 years, and then are demolished for another. It's so rare for stadiums to be so unique, i.e., Fenway, Wrigley, Yankee, Camden that we need to preserve some history in baseball, some link to the past. Without Wrigley, a cub player will walk on the field like he would any other player would walk on the field.

But with Wrigley, the player will walk on the field gaze at the ivy and the sold out crowd and realize how holy the place is.
