To date, that has been the highlight of his NFL career. He's averaged just 38 catches a season and never approached 1,000 receiving yards, which is why the team showed no real interest in re-signing him. Perhaps more would've been made of his underachievement if the team hadn't drafted Matt Jones -- who's had his own issues with making the transition from college to the NFL (though, to his credit, he was a quarterback at Arkansas; Williams has no such excuse) -- a year later. Relatively speaking, Jones had a breakout season in 2008, but that was cut short after he was suspended for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Continue Reading ť
