I had to go somewhere earlier, so i didn't get a chance to post the rest of the 1st round picks, as they happened. Here they are: With the 26th pick in the 1st round (26th overall), the Green Bay Packers (via the New England Patriots) select Clay Matthews (DE), Southern California. With the 27th pick in the 1st round (27th overall), the Indianapolis Colts select Donald Brown (RB), Connecticut. With the 28th pick in the 1st round (28th overall), the Buffalo Bills (via the Carolina Panthers) select Eric Wood (C), Louisville. With the 29th pick in the 1st round (29th overall), the New York Giants select Hakeem Nicks (WR), North Carolina. With the 30th pick in the 1st round (30th overall), the Tennessee Titans select Kenny Britt (WR), Rutgers. With the 31st pick in the 1st round (31st overall), the Arizona Cardinals select Chris Wells (RB), Ohio State. Here is a look at the Bears' 3rd round draft pick (68th overall), Jarron Gilbert (DE from San Jose St.), doing something I have never seen before: I don't know how that translates on the football field, but it can't be a bad thing.   Edited by WC Jerome, Apr 26 2009, 01:05 PM.

I'm so glad the Lions came up with Stafford. It was a good decision in that they needed an offensive leader. |
