Here are some highlights from the Packers-Seahawks Week 16 Dope Sheet:

SEATTLE (5-9) at GREEN BAY (9-5)
Sunday, Dec. 27 - Lambeau Field - 12 p.m. CST

HOME SCHEDULE CONCLUDES WITH SEAHAWKS
- The Packers wrap up the 2009 regular-season slate at Lambeau Field on Sunday as they take on the Seattle Seahawks.

- Green Bay comes into the game with playoff hopes on the line and a chance to secure the franchise's 25th postseason bid. With a win Sunday, the Packers would achieve double-digit victories for the 24th time in team history and second under Head Coach Mike McCarthy.

COULD THEY CLINCH?
- Green Bay could clinch a playoff berth in front of the home fans at Lambeau Field on Sunday, the place where it clinched its last postseason berth in 2007 in Week 14.

- There are three scenarios by which Green Bay could clinch a playoff spot this weekend: 1) Packers win AND Cowboys loss; 2) Packers win AND Giants loss or tie; 3) Packers tie AND Giants loss.

- The Giants play at home against Carolina at noon, while the Cowboys travel to Washington to take on the Redskins Sunday night.

- At 9-5, Green Bay stands ahead of Dallas (9-5) and the New York Giants (8-6) for the top NFC Wild Card seed. By virtue of its Week 10 win over the Cowboys, Green Bay holds the first tiebreaker over Dallas.

- While the loss at Pittsburgh certainly stung in the way in which it occurred, the fact that it came against an AFC opponent helps soften the blow. Wild Card playoff berths are given to the conference's top two teams that do not win a division. If teams within the same division are fighting for those spots, division tiebreakers apply. Should teams be competing against teams from another division, conference record is the second tiebreaker after head-to-head matchups. Green Bay is 7-3 against the NFC so far this season with conference matchups ahead Sunday against the Seahawks and in Week 17 in Arizona.

THE DOPE ON THIS WEEK'S OPPONENT:
Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks
All-time, regular season: 7-5-0

COACHES CAPSULES

Yes LAT that is correct! With the Giants loss to the Panthers the Packers have clinched a wild card spot. Unfortunately they may end up playing the same team 2 weeks in a row at Arizona.....McCarthy better be smart to just keep our main guys in the game. If they get a sizable lead like this game then it will be alright to take them out, but let them play anyway so they don't get rusty! Excellent running game. 5 TDs........Best I've seen I think all season from those guys. It was great seeing Green push his way through like a true veteran. With all 3 of those guys I think it will be a HE\_\_ of a combination next season if we decide to keep Green. Jennings was fabulous again as well but Driver sat quiet.... :boohoo: I believe Driver is on the verge of breaking another record. Driver needed 37 yards for his 6th consecutive 1,000+ yard season! He had 33 yards in this game. Go get'em Driver!!!!!!!! Next up and finally for the regular season. The mighty Arizona Cardinals.

Packers - 48
Seahawks - 10

I would like to defeat Arizona, but I honestly believe that it may be wise to show very little of what we are capable. In other words, play some starters for about a quarter (Rodgers, Woodson, Grant), but let some others play as well. If Flynn holds fort (which he very well could do with our recievers), Rodgers could come back in to try to win the game (two minute drill practice, almost). That way, we still keep fresh, but we don't have to worry about exposing our own identity.

That would be awesome but I thought once you took out a QB they couldn't come back in?? Or is that just snap wise? If so then I would agree. It doesn't pay to rest most of our players. I'd rather keep them going since we'll most likely have to do it for the playoffs with the same team.

There is no rule saying you can't put the quarterback back in, but it tends to be a general rule of thumb. Like you said, though, most starters don't need a rest.

Let's only hope McCarthy gets smart for the playoffs.
